Simon Bregazzi
Simon has nearly three decades of experience in energy and finance. Most recently, he was co-founder and CEO of Jupiter Resources, Canada’s 9th largest natural gas producer when it was purchased in late 2020. He spent the first half of his career in investment banking where he ultimately established and led Goldman Sachs’ Calgary investment banking office. Simon earned a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science from Western University.

Patrick Elliott
Prior to co-founding Carbon Alpha, Patrick was the Executive Vice President and co-founder of Jupiter Resources, a private Calgary-based energy company. From 2007 to 2014, Patrick was Vice President of Business Development and a co-founder of Canbriam Energy. Since 2018 Patrick has been an Associate at Creative Destruction Lab – Rockies and recently appointed as an Investment Advisor at UCeed Energy Transformation at the University of Calgary. Patrick has been involved in developing, acquiring, and managing natural resource assets and teams for more than 27 years and is passionate about leadership, entrepreneurship and technology innovation. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology from the University of Western Ontario and is a Professional Geologist with APEGA.

Jenna Marttila
Jenna is a professional engineer with a passion for collaborating to find creative and economic solutions. Her experience spans reservoir, production and development engineering with her most recent role being the Corporate Planning Manager at Jupiter Resources. She has worked in Canada and the USA and is experienced in managing large corporate budgets and multi-disciplinary teams. Jenna holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from McGill University.

Bob Bryden
Bob is a professional engineer with expertise in well completions, operations, and project management. He is a data-driven decision maker experienced in a wide range of engineering matters including risk analysis, optimization, and procurement. Bob most recently worked as a Completions Engineer at Jupiter Resources with technical and operational responsibilities. Bob graduated from the University of Victoria with a degree in Mechanical Engineering with co-op experience working on fuel cells and hydrogen storage.

Eric Street
Eric is a professional geologist with exploration and development experience in complex basins spanning three continents. He leverages his multidisciplinary geosciences skill set to make informed business decisions about the subsurface. Eric has most recently been working as a Senior Geologist within the central European region. Prior to his European experience, Eric was a geologist at Jupiter Resources. He has formerly served as a Director of the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists and holds a BSc. in Earth Sciences from Simon Fraser University.

Graham Hack
Graham is an experienced professional engineer with a broad technical foundation in modern techniques for reservoir analysis, well monitoring, optimization and data science. He has enthusiastically applied these methods to industry challenges across North America, including unconventional resource development and CO2 project assessments. Graham graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta in Chemical Engineering (specializing in Computer Process Control) and recently returned to complete a Masters of Engineering Management, collaborating with world-class experts on decision-making techniques in monitoring, measurement and verification.

Anne Halladay
Anne has over 20 years of experience across Upstream and Downstream assets and has worked internationally for a variety of multi-nationals, both on and offshore. She has extensive experience across CCS project development and operations in Canada, including the development of subsurface risk-management frameworks and MMV/Closure Plans, and managing government, regulatory and stakeholder activities. Anne has a Geological Engineering degree from Queens and an MSc from the University of Calgary.

James Louie
James is an accomplished information system professional with a proven track record in digital enablement. His career experience spans systems architecture, software development, data warehousing, business intelligence, data analytics and training. James has a passion for continuous learning, presenting at community tech talks and enabling others. He was formerly a Solutions Architect at Jupiter Resources providing advanced implementations and data governance for modern teams and graduated from Mount Royal University in Computer Information Systems.

Phil Hosty
Phil brings a valuable combination of facility, pipeline and process engineering expertise. He has worked on a wide range of projects including refrigeration, dehydration, compression and power generation in Canada, US and the UK. He has worked as a senior engineer at multiple global EPCs and most recently was the Senior Process Engineer at Jupiter Resources where his passion for process safety and his ability to come up with creative solutions put him in high demand. Phil is a professional engineer and holds B.Eng (Hons) from the University of Bath.
